Vermont Teddy Bears

Who doesn't love teddy bears? They are classic toys for children of all ages dating back more than a century. Named after former President Teddy Roosevelt, the first teddy bears were produced by a couple of Brooklyn store owners in 1902. Since then, companies all over the world have produced teddy bears of all kinds. One of the most popular has to be Vermont teddy bears. The Vermont Teddy Bear Company was founded in 1981 and started off very small, with its owner selling handmade teddy bears out of a cart at an outdoor market.


Eventually, the company began shipping teddy bears to customers around the country. This so-called Bear Gram was advertised on a New York radio station and the company reached its yearly sales goal in two days. The rest, as they say, is history. Today the state of Vermont is as famous for its teddy bears as it is for its maple syrup and fall foliage. It's easy to see why so many kids and adults alike adore these teddy bears. The bears are cuddly, fuzzy and cute. And, they come dressed for any imaginable occasion. They make great gifts for your loved ones or even yourself. These bears are very collectible which is why adults love them as much as kids do.

There are so many different bears from which you can choose. Within the Birthday category you will find a number of different bears available.
